谷崎潤一郎さんの『陰翳礼讃』を読んで漆の道を志しました。
現代の生活スタイルの中での漆の在り方を探りながら、
和洋を問わないボーダーレスな漆芸表現をコンセプトに制作しています。
制作では本物の漆や金粉を使うこと、
完成の姿からは見えない下地工程も大切にしています。

I have been pursuing a career as a lacquer artist since I read Tanizaki Jyunichiro's novel, In Praise of Shadows.
Now, I am exploring the modern way of lacquer art, I have been trying to create borderless lacquer art without regard to Japanese or Western, hoping lacquer will be a piece of everyone's daily life.
The traditional creation of lacquer art needs many intensive techniques, and this dedication sometimes cannot be seen in the finished work. In particular, techniques developed to the highest level in Japan are the use real lacquer and gold powder. Please feel free to pick them up and take a closer look.
